A private maths tutor in Dubai typically costs AED 100–200 an hour for IGCSE-level work, according to EdFlik's 2026 UAE tutoring guide, with IB tuition usually higher and CBSE usually lower. That is a commercial published guide rather than official data — the UAE does not publish tutoring rates — but it is a fair starting point for judging any quote.
What is ClassArc?
ClassArc is live one-to-one online maths tutoring for school-age children. One teacher and one child, for 55 minutes. The same teacher every week. Classes run inside our own classroom software, not a video call: a shared worksheet you both write on, a shared whiteboard, and answers that sync live.
The short answer
EdFlik's 2026 guide to private tutoring costs in Dubai puts an independent, UAE-based home tutor at AED 100–200 an hour, with IGCSE-level tuition in the same band. It is a commercial guide published by a tutoring company, not a regulated or official rate, and we quote its market ranges only.
The spread inside that range is mostly about who is teaching, which curriculum, and what is bundled around the hour. The sections below take each in turn, and then set out what ClassArc charges and why it sits below the range.
By tutor type
Published ranges for Dubai from the same 2026 guide. Treat the edges loosely: a well-known exam tutor in a busy area will sit above them.
| Type of tutoring | Published range | What to ask about |
|---|---|---|
| Independent home tutor, UAE-based | AED 100–200 an hour | A travel surcharge of roughly AED 20–50 is sometimes added |
| Tutoring centre | AED 80–150 an hour | Registration fees of roughly AED 200–500 a year are common |
| University student, informal | AED 60–80 an hour | Experience and knowledge of your child's curriculum vary widely |
Source: EdFlik's 2026 Dubai pricing guide, a commercial publication rather than official data. Online tutoring spans the whole range, so for any online quote ask how long a session actually runs and whether it is one to one.
By curriculum
The same guide gives these ranges by curriculum. The order is more reliable than the exact numbers.
The real cost
Two quotes with the same hourly figure can cost very different amounts by the end of term. Work out the price per hour of real teaching, then add every fee.
A 45-minute session at AED 150 is AED 200 for an hour of teaching. Ask for the length in minutes before comparing anything.
Small groups cost less per child. The trade-off is that the tutor cannot follow one child's working from the first line to the last.
Home tutors in Dubai often add a travel charge, and some set minimum bookings for areas further from where they live.
Centres commonly charge a yearly registration fee. Ask about printed materials and test fees at the same time.
Monthly packages that renew on their own, or contracts with a notice period, cost more the moment your plans change.
A new tutor spends the first sessions finding out where your child is. A lower rate with a different person each week often costs more over a term.
Where ClassArc fits
ClassArc classes start from AED 45 for younger students and AED 60 for GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and IB years on the largest block; the most a senior class costs is AED 70, on the 8-class Starter block. That is below every published Dubai range above, and the reason is geography: our teachers are based in India, where a good teaching salary costs less than it does in Dubai. They are paid properly for where they live.
What stays the same is the lesson: 55 minutes, one teacher and one student, the same teacher every class, on a shared worksheet in our own browser classroom. There is no joining fee and no materials fee, plans are blocks of 8, 24 or 48 classes rather than subscriptions, unused classes are refunded if you stop, and you can reschedule free up to five minutes before a class.
A lower price is a reason to shortlist us, not a reason to choose us. The free first class exists so you can judge the teaching before paying anything.
The saving comes from where the teacher lives. It does not come out of the 55 minutes.
How we pricePrices in UAE dirhams. Every class is 55 minutes, one-to-one, with the same teacher. First class free, no card required.
Budgeting
Two classes a week suits most students, and it is the sensible number to budget with. Three a week earns its place in the final months before IGCSE, A-Level, IB or CBSE board exams; one a week is for keeping skills ticking over once gaps are closed.
At two a week, the 24-class Regular block lasts about twelve weeks — roughly a school term. Our guide to choosing a maths tutor covers what to look for beyond the price.

When you book a demo or sign up for classes, we collect your name, your child's name, email, WhatsApp number, time zone, and the grade you're inquiring about. That's it. We don't ask for or store any payment details on this website. We don't use trackers, cookies for advertising, or third-party analytics that profile you.
Only to schedule and run your classes, send you class reminders, share homework and progress, and answer your questions. We'll reach out by email or WhatsApp, depending on what you tell us works better for you.
Your teacher, and the small team supporting them at ClassArc. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside ClassArc. We use Web3Forms to receive form submissions, and standard email and WhatsApp for messaging, nothing else.
We treat any information about your child with extra care. We only collect what we need to teach them well, such as their grade and what they're working on. We never use a child's photo, name, or work in any marketing without the parent's explicit written permission.

ClassArc is a one-on-one online tutoring service. We provide live, scheduled classes between a teacher and a student, along with homework, feedback, and study support.
Each class is 55 minutes. You can reschedule or cancel a class up to 5 minutes before it starts. If you miss a class without notice, we usually credit it back to your balance and reschedule based on what works for the teacher and student.
The first demo class is free, no card required. After that, plans are billed in advance for the number of classes you choose (8, 24, or ~48). We'll send you a payment link directly once you've picked a plan.
If you want to stop classes at any point, we refund whatever class balance is left on your plan. No questions asked, no friction. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
We expect students and parents to treat teachers with respect, and teachers to do the same. We reserve the right to end the relationship if classes become unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, with a full refund of any unused balance.
If we update these terms, we'll email you before the changes take effect, so you have time to review them.
