About ClassArc · Who we are · What we stand for

Built by someone
who actually teaches

ClassArc is live one-to-one maths tutoring for school students, run by a teacher rather than a marketplace. This page is the plain version: who is behind it, why it exists, what we will not compromise on, and what to check before you believe any of it.

Start with a free class 55 minutes · no card required

Seven years in classrooms,
then this

ClassArc was started by Rajat Sharma, who has spent 7+ years teaching students from kindergarten to grade 12 and still teaches on the platform every week.

The reason it exists is narrow and specific. A class of thirty moves at one speed. A child who misses the step where fractions stop being pictures and start being numbers does not get that step back — the syllabus has moved on, and by the following term the gap has become a belief about themselves.

One-to-one is the only format that lets a teacher stop at the exact line where the understanding broke. That is the whole idea, and everything else on this site is a consequence of it.

7+

years teaching, kindergarten to grade 12 — and still teaching classes, not only running the company.

Six things that stay true
however we grow.

These are not aspirations. Every one of them is how ClassArc already works today, and each is a decision that costs us something.

One teacher, one student

Never a group at a lower price per child. Groups would be more profitable per hour, which is exactly why most services offer them.

The same teacher every week

Not a marketplace where whoever is free takes the slot. It makes scheduling harder for us and continuity better for your child.

A full fifty-five minutes

Not an hour billed and forty minutes taught. The five minutes are for the teacher to write up what happened, not to cut the lesson short.

Taught live, never recorded

A video cannot tell that your child stopped following ten minutes ago. Live costs more to deliver and is the only thing that notices.

Prices published, in your currency

Every price is on the website in five currencies. No quote-on-enquiry, no discount that depends on how hesitant you sound.

Money back, no notice period

Stop whenever you like and unused classes are refunded. A promise with a cost attached is the only kind worth making.

The things most
tutoring sites leave out

Our teachers are in India. That is the honest reason a full 55-minute one-to-one class costs a fraction of the local rate in Sydney, London or Chicago. It is a difference in the cost of a good teaching salary, not a difference in what your child gets. We are not undercutting local tutors by underpaying our own people.

We do not publish CVs. Plenty of services list degrees; a degree has never told a parent whether their child will speak up when stuck. What we offer instead is better evidence and it costs you nothing: watch a real teacher teach your own child for a full 55 minutes, free, before any money changes hands.

We are small. If you want a company with a support desk and a thousand tutors, that is not us. What being small buys you is that the person who noticed the gap in March is the person still working on it in June.

You should not have to take a tutoring company's word for it. Watch one lesson and decide.

Why the first class is free

Three things you can verify yourself.

i

The free
first class.

A real 55-minute lesson with your own child, no card required. Everything claimed on this site is visible in that hour or it is not true.

ii

What parents
have written.

Reviews on Google from families who have been with us, some for close to a year. Read them there rather than only here.

iii

The refund,
in writing.

Stop at any point and unused classes come back. It is in our terms, not just in a marketing sentence.

Curricula and year groups we work in

Maths is the core. We teach to the curriculum your child's school is actually using, not a general version of the subject.

Five markets,
one classroom

The lesson is identical wherever you are. What changes is the curriculum we teach to and the currency you pay in.

United States

Common Core and state standards, K–12

$13.50 a class
United Kingdom

National Curriculum, KS1–KS4 and GCSE

£11 a class
Canada

Your province's curriculum, grades 1–12

C$17.50 a class
Australia

Australian Curriculum v9.0 and your state's syllabus

A$16 a class
New Zealand

NZ Curriculum phases and NCEA, Years 1–13

NZ$19.50 a class

Every market gets the same 55-minute one-to-one class with the same teacher each week.

Who is behind ClassArc?
Rajat Sharma, a teacher with 7+ years of classroom experience across kindergarten to grade 12. He founded ClassArc and still teaches on it every week rather than only running it.
Are your teachers qualified?
We do not publish individual CVs, and we would rather be straight about why: a listed degree has never told a parent whether their child will actually speak up when they are stuck. What we offer instead is direct evidence — a free, full 55-minute lesson with your own child before any money changes hands, reviews from families who have been with us for months, and a refund policy with a real cost attached. If a teacher is not right for your child, we change the teacher.
Where are your teachers based?
India. That is the honest reason a full 55-minute one-to-one class costs well below the local rate in the US, UK, Canada, Australia or New Zealand — a good teaching salary simply costs less there. We pay our teachers properly; the saving is geographic, not a reduction in what your child gets.
How big is ClassArc?
Small, deliberately. We are not a marketplace with a thousand tutors and a support desk. The trade is that scheduling is less flexible than a large platform's, and in exchange the person who noticed what your child found hard last month is the same person teaching them this month.
Is ClassArc a company or a single tutor?
ClassArc is a tutoring service with its own classroom software, founded and taught in by Rajat Sharma. It is not a directory that connects you to freelancers, and it is not a platform where the tutor changes with availability.
What subjects do you teach?
Maths is the core of what we do and what the platform was built around. We also teach Science and English for school students, but if you are choosing us, choose us for maths.
Why did you build your own classroom instead of using Zoom?
Because a maths lesson happens on the page, not on the webcam. Teacher and student write on one shared worksheet at the same time, with a whiteboard beside it and answers syncing as they are typed, so the teacher watches the method form instead of receiving a finished answer to mark. A video call plus a screen-shared PDF cannot do that.
How do I get started?
Book the free first class. Tell us the country, year group and curriculum, pick a time in your own timezone, and no card is required. It is a real lesson, not a sales call.
