What is ClassArc?
ClassArc is live one-to-one online maths tutoring for school-age children. One teacher and one child, for 55 minutes. The same teacher every week. Classes run inside our own classroom software, not a video call: a shared worksheet you both write on, a shared whiteboard, and answers that sync live.
The courses
Since 2019 the Diploma offers two maths routes, and families are often unsure which their child is on. Analysis and Approaches is the algebraic, proof-oriented route. Applications and Interpretation is modelling and statistics led, with technology used throughout.
Each runs at Standard and Higher Level, and the gap between AA HL and AI SL is very large. Tutoring that treats them as one subject helps nobody.
Tell us the course and level and we teach that syllabus. If your child is still choosing, we will talk through which route fits their strengths and their university plans.

Affordability
The Diploma is a two-year programme, and support that stops partway through is support that mostly went to waste. A price a family can carry to the final exams is the one that matters.

Where IB students lose marks
AA and AI reward different skills. A tutor comfortable with one is not automatically useful for the other — so we teach the syllabus your child is actually sitting.
Most IA problems start with the topic: too broad, too thin mathematically, or with no genuine personal engagement behind it.
IB marks communication. Students who can do the maths still lose marks by not showing how they got there.
Internal Assessment
We teach the mathematics and the structure. We do not write any part of the exploration — IB academic honesty rules are clear, and a tutor who offers otherwise is risking your child's diploma.
A tutor who writes any of the exploration is not helping. They are putting a diploma at risk for a few marks.

Work out which mathematics the exploration will actually use before any writing starts. Most weak IAs are written before this is settled.
Each criterion rewards something specific. Students lose marks to criteria they never read rather than maths they could not do.
We review structure and mathematics and point at what is missing. The words are theirs, entirely.

We teach the syllabus your child is on, and prepare for the assessments that come with it.
The platform
Most online tutoring is a video call plus a shared PDF. ClassArc built its own classroom instead.
Both write on the same interactive worksheet at once, with a shared whiteboard for taking a derivation apart line by line and answers that sync as they are entered.
Your child joins from a browser. Nothing to install.
IB rewards reasoning that is communicated clearly. The teacher has to see it form, not receive it finished.
Why we built our ownYour first class
The first class is free, lasts the full 55 minutes, and is a real lesson. No card is required to book it.
We ask which course and level first — AA or AI, SL or HL — because they are genuinely different syllabuses. The teacher then works out where your child sits within that course, which usually means starting above the current topic and stepping back until the foundation is firm.
You will finish it knowing how the teacher handles a proof or a model and how your child responded. Knowing the specific course matters, and so does whether your child will say when a step lost them. If the fit is not right, we will arrange a second free class with a different teacher.
A tutor comfortable with AA HL is not automatically useful for AI SL. The free class is where you check.
What the free class is forWhy IB families choose ClassArc
The Diploma runs two years. These are the things that stay constant across them.
Never a group. IB maths goes wrong in specific, individual places, and finding those takes a teacher whose attention is not divided.
Not a marketplace tutor each session. One person who has followed your child from MYP or from the start of the Diploma and knows the pattern.
Real lessons rather than a recorded series. A recording cannot see that a proof lost your child at line three.
IB awards marks for communication. Both of you write on the same sheet, so the teacher sees the argument form instead of receiving it finished.
AA and AI are different syllabuses, and AA HL and AI SL are very different courses. We ask which one before the first class and teach that.

When you book a demo or sign up for classes, we collect your name, your child's name, email, WhatsApp number, time zone, and the grade you're inquiring about. That's it. We don't ask for or store any payment details on this website. We don't use trackers, cookies for advertising, or third-party analytics that profile you.
Only to schedule and run your classes, send you class reminders, share homework and progress, and answer your questions. We'll reach out by email or WhatsApp, depending on what you tell us works better for you.
Your teacher, and the small team supporting them at ClassArc. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside ClassArc. We use Web3Forms to receive form submissions, and standard email and WhatsApp for messaging, nothing else.
We treat any information about your child with extra care. We only collect what we need to teach them well, such as their grade and what they're working on. We never use a child's photo, name, or work in any marketing without the parent's explicit written permission.
You can ask us to show you what we have on file, correct anything inaccurate, or delete your data entirely, at any time. Just email hello@theclassarc.com and we'll handle it within a few days.

ClassArc is a one-on-one online tutoring service. We provide live, scheduled classes between a teacher and a student, along with homework, feedback, and study support.
Each class is 55 minutes. You can reschedule or cancel a class up to 5 minutes before it starts. If you miss a class without notice, we usually credit it back to your balance and reschedule based on what works for the teacher and student.
The first demo class is free, no card required. After that, plans are billed in advance for the number of classes you choose (8, 24, or ~48). We'll send you a payment link directly once you've picked a plan.
If you want to stop classes at any point, we refund whatever class balance is left on your plan. No questions asked, no friction. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
We expect students and parents to treat teachers with respect, and teachers to do the same. We reserve the right to end the relationship if classes become unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, with a full refund of any unused balance.
If we update these terms, we'll email you before the changes take effect, so you have time to review them.
