One-to-one CBSE maths for students at Dubai's Indian-curriculum schools, from Class 1 to Class 12, following the NCERT chapters in the order your child's school teaches them. What is ClassArc?
ClassArc is live one-to-one online maths tutoring for school-age children. One teacher and one child, for 55 minutes. The same teacher every week. Classes run inside our own classroom software, not a video call: a shared worksheet you both write on, a shared whiteboard, and answers that sync live.
Same board, different city
A CBSE school in Dubai follows the same syllabus, the same NCERT textbooks and the same board exams as a CBSE school in India. Indian curricula are Dubai's second-largest private-school group, with about 26% of students on KHDA's 2024–25 figures, and most of those schools are CBSE, with a smaller number on ICSE.
What differs is the neighbourhood. Dubai's Indian schools run an April-to-March year while the British school next door starts in late August, so Class 10 board preparation peaks in January and February, months before British-system exams.
CBSE schools say Class where a British school says Year and an American school says Grade. Some Dubai Indian-school websites use Grade too; we use Class, to match NCERT. Figures reported by the Dubai Media Office.
The syllabus is India's. The calendar, the time zone and the classmates' routes are Dubai's.
What we plan aroundClass 10 from 2026
CBSE now holds two Class 10 board exams a year, and the first cycle ran in 2026. The February exam is compulsory for every student. The May exam is optional and exists so students can improve their score.
That changes how revision is planned. The February paper is still the main event, so the plan builds towards it. If a student wants another attempt at maths in May, we build a short, targeted plan around the chapters that cost marks, rather than repeating the whole year.
Class 10 students take either Mathematics Standard (041), for those continuing maths into Class 11, or Mathematics Basic (241), for those who are not. Each is marked out of 80 for theory and 20 for internal assessment. Check CBSE's current circulars at cbse.gov.in for each year's dates.
February is compulsory; May is an optional chance to improve. We prepare for the first and plan the second only if it is needed.
Stage by stage
The NCERT books build steadily, and most difficulty in a later Class traces back to a chapter that was never quite secure earlier on.
Place value, the four operations, times tables and mental arithmetic, with early fractions and measurement.
Where it usually goes wrong Tables learnt by rote but not understood, which shows up later as slow, error-prone long division. We use short visual tasks, and ArcSpace to show fractions as pieces.
Fractions and decimals, integers, ratio and proportion, and early algebra such as linear equations in one variable. NCERT's newer Ganita Prakash books are replacing the older middle-school titles, so check which edition your child's school has issued.
Where it usually goes wrong Negative numbers and simple equations. Gaps here land directly on the Class 9 algebra that follows.
Real numbers, polynomials, pairs of linear equations, quadratic equations, arithmetic progressions, coordinate geometry, trigonometry and its applications, circles, surface areas and volumes, statistics and probability.
Where it usually goes wrong Answers without the steps. CBSE marks the steps, so we practise full written solutions from NCERT exercises, then previous years' papers and timed sections.
Sets, relations and functions, trigonometric functions, limits and derivatives, matrices and determinants, integration and differential equations, vectors and 3D geometry, linear programming and probability. CBSE also offers Applied Mathematics as an alternative course.
Where it usually goes wrong Calculus built on weak algebra. Much of this syllabus is also the base for JEE Main maths, and a solid NCERT foundation helps there.
How we teach it
Each class follows the school's current chapter, working through NCERT examples and exercises before any extra practice. If the school also uses a supplementary book, send us its name.
Teacher and student write on the same live worksheet, so the teacher sees where a solution goes wrong, not only the final line. That matters on a board that gives marks for steps.
The same person follows your child's whole session and remembers which chapter slipped last term, instead of meeting a new tutor each time.

Each class is 55 minutes. You can reschedule or cancel a class up to 5 minutes before it starts. If you miss a class without notice, we usually credit it back to your balance and reschedule based on what works for the teacher and student.
The first demo class is free, no card required. After that, plans are billed in advance for the number of classes you choose (8, 24, or ~48). We'll send you a payment link directly once you've picked a plan.
If you want to stop classes at any point, we refund whatever class balance is left on your plan. No questions asked, no friction. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
We expect students and parents to treat teachers with respect, and teachers to do the same. We reserve the right to end the relationship if classes become unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, with a full refund of any unused balance.
