What is ClassArc?
ClassArc is live one-to-one online maths tutoring for school-age children. One teacher and one child, for 55 minutes. The same teacher every week. Classes run inside our own classroom software, not a video call: a shared worksheet you both write on, a shared whiteboard, and answers that sync live.
The four courses
IB Diploma maths comes in two courses, each at two levels, and a Dubai IB student sits exactly one of the four. They differ far more than the names suggest.

In all four courses the mathematical exploration, the internal assessment, is worth 20% of the final grade. At SL the two papers carry 40% each; at HL Papers 1 and 2 carry 30% each and Paper 3 the remaining 20%. Paper lengths are set in the IB subject guide your child's school teaches from.
The update
The IB has announced updated Analysis & Approaches and Applications & Interpretation courses. Schools start teaching them in August 2027, and the first exams on them are in May 2029.
For a Dubai family the question is simply when the Diploma starts. A student who began DP1 in August 2026 finishes on the current course, with exams in May 2028. A student starting DP1 in August 2027, typically in Year 11 or Grade 10 now, will be among the first cohort on the updated course.
We teach from whichever subject guide your child's school is using, and we'll check the final published changes with you as that cohort gets closer.

The IA
The mathematical exploration must be your child's own work; that is an IB academic honesty requirement, not a ClassArc preference. A tutor who writes, rewrites or polishes any part of it puts the whole Diploma at risk. Here is where we draw the line.
IA coaching happens inside normal classes. It is not a separate service and costs nothing extra.
Content
Every Diploma maths course is organised into the same five areas. What changes between AA and AI, and between SL and HL, is how far and in which direction each one goes.
How we teach it
Non-calculator fluency for AA Paper 1, graphic display calculator skills for AA Paper 2 and every AI paper, and the long problem-solving style of HL Paper 3.
Teacher and student write on one live worksheet, so a sign slip in line two is caught before it runs through a whole Paper 2 question.
First-year content is examined at the end of the second year. With the same teacher across both, it gets revisited on purpose instead of fading.

ClassArc is a one-on-one online tutoring service. We provide live, scheduled classes between a teacher and a student, along with homework, feedback, and study support.
Each class is 55 minutes. You can reschedule or cancel a class up to 5 minutes before it starts. If you miss a class without notice, we usually credit it back to your balance and reschedule based on what works for the teacher and student.
The first demo class is free, no card required. After that, plans are billed in advance for the number of classes you choose (8, 24, or ~48). We'll send you a payment link directly once you've picked a plan.
If you want to stop classes at any point, we refund whatever class balance is left on your plan. No questions asked, no friction. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
We expect students and parents to treat teachers with respect, and teachers to do the same. We reserve the right to end the relationship if classes become unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, with a full refund of any unused balance.
If we update these terms, we'll email you before the changes take effect, so you have time to review them.
