What the price includes
Every item below applies to every ClassArc class, on every plan, whatever you are paying.

How much math tutoring costs in Canada
Public rate guides commonly put online tutoring in Canada at around C$30 to C$60 an hour, with high-school math and certified teachers quoted above that, and in-person rates higher again. Those are advertised ranges gathered from published guides in August 2026 rather than a study we carried out.
ClassArc is C$17.50 to C$28.50 for a 55-minute one-on-one class, depending on grade band and plan length. We show that because it is the question that brought you here — not as a claim to be the least expensive option in the country, which is not something we can verify and would not say.
The figure that actually matters is the one you are still comfortable with in May. Math builds on itself, and support that stops in February mostly goes to waste.
per 55-minute one-on-one class at ClassArc, depending on grade band and plan length.
Province first
Mathematics is set provincially. A grade 8 student in Ontario and a grade 8 student in British Columbia are not covering the same material in the same order, so a tutor teaching one generic North American syllabus will be ahead of one of them and behind the other.
Before the first class we ask which province, which grade, and what the class is covering this week. We already teach families in Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta and follow those sequences.
If your province is not one of those, tell us and we will say honestly whether we can follow it properly. We would rather turn a family away than teach approximately and charge for it.
A tutor who does not ask which province you are in is teaching an average of Canada, and no child is enrolled in that.
Why we ask before quotingWho this suits
The FAQ below is honest about who ClassArc does not suit. These are the families it does.
Weekly one-on-one time across a school year, at a price that does not become the reason you stop in February.
Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta order mathematics differently. We follow the one your child's school is actually using.
One-on-one is where a student who has gone quiet in a class of thirty can admit what they did not follow, without an audience.
Our teachers are in India, which suits Canadian mornings and early evenings. We already teach on Eastern, Central and Pacific time.
A fixed per-class rate in Canadian dollars, no joining fee, no materials fee, and a refund on whatever you have not used.
A full free lesson before any card is entered, so what you are judging is the teaching itself.
What we teach
We teach to your province's curriculum and stay alongside what school is covering that term.
Before you pay anything
No card, no deposit, no obligation. A real 55-minute lesson, and most families decide from it.
Asking a parent to pay before they have seen a lesson is asking them to buy a description. One class is a much better test.
Why we do it this wayThe form at the bottom of this page. Province, grade, your time zone, and a time that works — that is all we need to start.
By email and WhatsApp, in your local time, with the class time and a link. No card is requested now or before you decide.
A real class in the real classroom, spent checking your child against your province's curriculum rather than a general one.
Choose a plan or do not. If the teacher was not the right match, we will arrange a second free class with someone else.

When you book a demo or sign up for classes, we collect your name, your child's name, email, WhatsApp number, time zone, and the grade you're inquiring about. That's it. We don't ask for or store any payment details on this website. We don't use trackers, cookies for advertising, or third-party analytics that profile you.
Only to schedule and run your classes, send you class reminders, share homework and progress, and answer your questions. We'll reach out by email or WhatsApp, depending on what you tell us works better for you.
Your teacher, and the small team supporting them at ClassArc. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside ClassArc. We use Formspree to receive form submissions, and standard email and WhatsApp for messaging, nothing else.
We treat any information about your child with extra care. We only collect what we need to teach them well, such as their grade and what they're working on. We never use a child's photo, name, or work in any marketing without the parent's explicit written permission.
You can ask us to show you what we have on file, correct anything inaccurate, or delete your data entirely, at any time. Just email hello@theclassarc.com and we'll handle it within a few days.

ClassArc is a one-on-one online tutoring service. We provide live, scheduled classes between a teacher and a student, along with homework, feedback, and study support.
Each class is 55 minutes. You can reschedule or cancel a class up to 5 minutes before it starts. If you miss a class without notice, we usually credit it back to your balance and reschedule based on what works for the teacher and student.
The first demo class is free, no card required. After that, plans are billed in advance for the number of classes you choose (8, 24, or ~48). We'll send you a payment link directly once you've picked a plan.
If you want to stop classes at any point, we refund whatever class balance is left on your plan. No questions asked, no friction. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
We expect students and parents to treat teachers with respect, and teachers to do the same. We reserve the right to end the relationship if classes become unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, with a full refund of any unused balance.
If we update these terms, we'll email you before the changes take effect, so you have time to review them.
For anything, email hello@theclassarc.com.
