CBSE and ICSE taught properly,
not approximated

Most international platforms teach a Western curriculum and treat CBSE or ICSE as a variation of it. They are not. The chapter order differs, the exam style differs, and ICSE goes deeper on several topics than CBSE at the same class level.

Our teachers are in India and teach these boards as their primary curriculum. If your child is in Class 9 ICSE, the class follows the Class 9 ICSE sequence, chapter by chapter, in the order the school teaches it.

112

Class 1 to Class 12, following the NCERT sequence for CBSE and the council syllabus for ICSE.

Three things a generic tutor cannot do.

i

The board your
school actually uses.

CBSE and ICSE are different curricula, not the same content relabelled. We teach whichever your child sits, in that board's order.

ii

Right syllabus,
anywhere you live.

Families in the UK, US, Canada and the Gulf study the Indian syllabus properly — which matters if your child returns to school in India or sits board exams.

iii

Boards prepared
on top, not instead.

Previous years' papers and question patterns layered onto proper syllabus teaching, rather than replacing it with drill.

Fifty-five minutes,
and none of it wasted

The first class is a diagnostic. A Class 8 student struggling with algebra usually has a Class 6 fractions gap underneath, and teaching Class 8 harder will not fix it.

Marks come from method. A teacher who only sees the final answer is guessing at what went wrong.

Why we watch the working
i
🔍

Pick up where it stopped

The teacher opens last class's work and last week's homework. No re-explaining, no lost time.

ii
✏️

Work it together

Teacher and student write on the same interactive worksheet, live. The working appears as it is thought, not after.

iii
📐

Try it alone

Your child works a problem unaided while the teacher watches the method form and steps in only where it goes wrong.

iv
📄

Homework that matches

Set from exactly what was taught, reviewed together next class. That review is where the learning actually lands.

CBSE and ICSE maths, Class 1 to Class 12

We follow the NCERT textbook sequence for CBSE and the council syllabus for ICSE, and prepare for board exams where relevant.

Our own classroom,
not a video call

Most online tuition is a video call plus a shared PDF. ClassArc built its own classroom instead, because a maths lesson needs more than two faces on a screen.

Teacher and student open the same interactive worksheet and both write on it live. There is a shared whiteboard for working a sum through together, and answers sync as they are typed, so the teacher watches the method rather than just the answer.

Your child joins from a browser. Nothing to install.

A sum marked wrong teaches nothing. A method corrected as it is written teaches everything.

Do you follow the NCERT books for CBSE?
Yes. For CBSE we follow the NCERT sequence chapter by chapter, and work through NCERT exercises alongside our own practice sheets. For ICSE we follow the council syllabus, which goes deeper on several topics at the same class level.
Can my child study CBSE maths while we live abroad?
Yes, and it is one of the main reasons families come to us. Children in the UK, US, Canada and the Gulf study with our teachers at times that suit their local evening. The syllabus is taught properly rather than approximated, which matters if your child will sit Indian board exams or may return to school in India.
What is the difference between how you teach CBSE and ICSE?
They are genuinely different curricula, not the same content relabelled. ICSE treats several topics in more depth at the same class level and its exam questions are worded differently. We teach whichever board your child's school follows, in that board's order.
Do you prepare students for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams?
Yes. Board preparation includes previous years' papers, question-pattern practice and timed work, layered on top of the syllabus teaching rather than replacing it.
Do you use Zoom?
No. ClassArc built its own classroom platform. Teacher and student share an interactive worksheet that both write on, a shared whiteboard, and live-syncing answers. Your child joins from a browser with nothing to install.
Will my child have the same teacher every class?
Yes. That is deliberate. The same teacher means no re-explaining, and someone who remembers exactly which chapter caused trouble last month. If the match is not right, we arrange another free demo with a different teacher.
How much does online CBSE maths tuition cost?
ClassArc starts at $13.50 a class on the Committed plan and $16.50 on Starter, for 55-minute one-to-one lessons. The first class is free and no card is required.
Is online maths tuition as good as a home tutor?
For maths, yes. Our classroom shows the teacher your child's working as they write it, which a home tutor also sees but a video call does not. It also removes travel, which usually means classes happen more reliably.
How do I choose a maths tutor for CBSE or ICSE?
Ask whether the tutor teaches your child's board as their main curriculum rather than as a variant, whether your child gets the same teacher every class, and whether the first class diagnoses rather than sells. Ours is free so you can judge all three.
Do you provide tuition for Class 10 and Class 12 board exams?
Yes. Board preparation includes previous years' papers, question-pattern practice and timed work, layered on top of syllabus teaching rather than replacing it.
