Getting started
Nothing is charged until you have seen a real lesson with your own child.
A first class should tell you something. Ours is spent finding the gap, not describing the service.
What the free class is forCountry, year group, and which curriculum the school follows. For senior students, the course name. It takes a minute and it is what lets the teacher prepare properly instead of improvising.
Class times are shown in your local time, never ours. No card is required to book. You get confirmation on email and WhatsApp within a day.
Not a consultation. The teacher works out where your child actually is — usually by starting a little above their current unit and going back until the ground is solid.
Honestly, including if we think tutoring is not what your child needs. And if the pairing did not feel right, the next free class is with someone else.
Inside a class
A ClassArc class is not a video call with a document on screen-share. Teacher and student write into the same interactive worksheet at the same time, with a shared whiteboard beside it for rough working and answers that sync the instant they are typed.
That difference decides what a teacher can see. When the working appears line by line, the teacher can stop at the step where the reasoning broke. When a finished answer arrives to be marked, all they can tell you is that it was wrong.
There is also ArcSpace, a 3D space for turning a number into something you can look at — halves and quarters as actual pieces before carrying the idea back to the board. And number games, which appear when they make a concept click and never as filler.
Your child opens a browser and is in. Nothing to install, no meeting link to chase.
A video call shows you a face. A shared worksheet shows you the thinking. Only one of those tells a teacher what to fix.

Staying aligned
Before each class the teacher checks the unit your child's class has actually reached, so the tutoring runs alongside the school's sequence rather than ahead of or behind it. A tutor teaching their own curriculum creates a second syllabus for a child who is already struggling with the first.
This is also why we ask which country, state or province before anything else. A Year 8 student in Sydney and a Year 8 student in Melbourne are not always meeting the same topic in the same term, and a tutor who does not ask is teaching an average that belongs to nobody.
How you know it is working
WhatsApp 24 hours and 1 hour before every class, in your timezone. Add a second parent's number if two of you need them.
A proper conversation about what has changed and what is still hard — not a generated progress percentage.
A one-page PDF of the classes your child has attended, by month or any date range, in your own timezone.
The rhythm
Two classes a week suits most students — enough to keep pace with school and still close gaps. Three is worth it in the run-up to exams. One a week works if the goal is maintenance rather than catching up, and we will say so if we think you are underinvesting.
Plans are blocks of classes — 8, 24 or 48 — rather than a monthly subscription, so nothing renews automatically and nothing has to be cancelled. If you stop, unused classes are refunded with no notice period.
Rescheduling is free up to five minutes before a class starts.

When you book a demo or sign up for classes, we collect your name, your child's name, email, WhatsApp number, time zone, and the grade you're inquiring about. That's it. We don't ask for or store any payment details on this website. We don't use trackers, cookies for advertising, or third-party analytics that profile you.
Only to schedule and run your classes, send you class reminders, share homework and progress, and answer your questions. We'll reach out by email or WhatsApp, depending on what you tell us works better for you.
Your teacher, and the small team supporting them at ClassArc. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside ClassArc. We use Formspree to receive form submissions, and standard email and WhatsApp for messaging, nothing else.
We treat any information about your child with extra care. We only collect what we need to teach them well, such as their grade and what they're working on. We never use a child's photo, name, or work in any marketing without the parent's explicit written permission.
You can ask us to show you what we have on file, correct anything inaccurate, or delete your data entirely, at any time. Just email hello@theclassarc.com and we'll handle it within a few days.

ClassArc is a one-on-one online tutoring service. We provide live, scheduled classes between a teacher and a student, along with homework, feedback, and study support.
Each class is 55 minutes. You can reschedule or cancel a class up to 5 minutes before it starts. If you miss a class without notice, we usually credit it back to your balance and reschedule based on what works for the teacher and student.
The first demo class is free, no card required. After that, plans are billed in advance for the number of classes you choose (8, 24, or ~48). We'll send you a payment link directly once you've picked a plan.
If you want to stop classes at any point, we refund whatever class balance is left on your plan. No questions asked, no friction. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
We expect students and parents to treat teachers with respect, and teachers to do the same. We reserve the right to end the relationship if classes become unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, with a full refund of any unused balance.
If we update these terms, we'll email you before the changes take effect, so you have time to review them.
