The format
Every ClassArc class is one teacher and one student for 55 minutes. Not a small group, and not a marketplace where a different tutor shows up each week.
Your child works with the same teacher throughout, so nobody spends the first ten minutes working out what was covered last time.

Affordability
Tutoring only works if it continues. Many Canadian families stop not because it was not helping but because the monthly total stopped being realistic, so ClassArc is priced to be sustainable rather than to look good for a month.

Why the loop mattersThe teacher looks at where your child's class has reached this week, so the tutoring runs alongside the provincial sequence rather than ahead of or behind it.

Homework matched to that day's class and to what school is teaching next, reviewed together at the start of the following lesson.
Curriculum
Mathematics is set provincially in Canada, so a grade 8 student in Ontario and a grade 8 student in British Columbia are not covering the same sequence in the same order. A tutor teaching a generic North American syllabus will be ahead of one of them and behind the other.
So the first thing we ask is which province and which grade. We then teach that sequence and stay aligned with what the school is covering that term — including Ontario, British Columbia and Alberta, where we already teach families.
If your province is not one of those, tell us and we will say honestly whether we can follow it properly. We would rather turn a family away than teach approximately.
A tutor who does not ask which province you are in is teaching an average of Canada, which is nobody's actual curriculum.

The platform
Most online tutoring is a video call with a shared PDF or a Google Doc. ClassArc built its own classroom instead, because a math lesson needs more than two faces on a screen.
Both of them write on one interactive worksheet at once, with a shared whiteboard for working something out together and answers that sync as they are typed.
Your child opens a browser and is in. Nothing to install, and no meeting link to chase.

Why we built our ownTimings
Our teachers are in India, so classes suit Canadian mornings and early evenings. We already teach families on Eastern, Central and Pacific time.
You never convert time zones yourself. Class times display in your own time, and WhatsApp reminders arrive 24 hours and 1 hour before each class, also in your time.
Your first class
The first class is free, lasts the full 55 minutes, and is a real lesson. No card is required to book it.
Before it starts we ask which province and grade, then the teacher spends the class checking your child against that curriculum rather than a general one — usually by starting a little above their current unit and working back until the ground is solid.
By the end you will have seen the teacher explain something and seen how your child responded. Qualifications and curriculum knowledge matter, and so does whether your child will actually speak up when stuck. If the fit is not right, we will set up a second free class with a different teacher.
A first class should tell you something. Ours is spent finding the gap, not describing the service.

When you book a demo or sign up for classes, we collect your name, your child's name, email, WhatsApp number, time zone, and the grade you're inquiring about. That's it. We don't ask for or store any payment details on this website. We don't use trackers, cookies for advertising, or third-party analytics that profile you.
Only to schedule and run your classes, send you class reminders, share homework and progress, and answer your questions. We'll reach out by email or WhatsApp, depending on what you tell us works better for you.
Your teacher, and the small team supporting them at ClassArc. We never sell, rent, or share your information with anyone outside ClassArc. We use Web3Forms to receive form submissions, and standard email and WhatsApp for messaging, nothing else.
We treat any information about your child with extra care. We only collect what we need to teach them well, such as their grade and what they're working on. We never use a child's photo, name, or work in any marketing without the parent's explicit written permission.
You can ask us to show you what we have on file, correct anything inaccurate, or delete your data entirely, at any time. Just email hello@theclassarc.com and we'll handle it within a few days.

ClassArc is a one-on-one online tutoring service. We provide live, scheduled classes between a teacher and a student, along with homework, feedback, and study support.
Each class is 55 minutes. You can reschedule or cancel a class up to 5 minutes before it starts. If you miss a class without notice, we usually credit it back to your balance and reschedule based on what works for the teacher and student.
The first demo class is free, no card required. After that, plans are billed in advance for the number of classes you choose (8, 24, or ~48). We'll send you a payment link directly once you've picked a plan.
If you want to stop classes at any point, we refund whatever class balance is left on your plan. No questions asked, no friction. Refunds are processed within 7 business days.
We expect students and parents to treat teachers with respect, and teachers to do the same. We reserve the right to end the relationship if classes become unsafe, abusive, or disruptive, with a full refund of any unused balance.
If we update these terms, we'll email you before the changes take effect, so you have time to review them.
